my crowntail made a bubble nest tonight. im a bit shocked. its 0100 and i was going to turn off their light and put them to sleep and i saw all these bubbles in the tank corner. the only thing is, why would he do this? He's sharing the tank (with a divider) with another male, and they spend a bit of time flaring and staring eachother down... is this like a territorial issue. i am not sure if he's like trying to be topdog? or if he really wants to mate. because if so, i may breed him because Diego has never made a bubble nest.

He may be making one becuase he's happy.
He may be making one because a stormfront is moving through.

They can do it even when they aren't all set for breeding...
