can you just attach it to any type of driftwood or bog wood?
is there any special ways
should i just let it float
can it be placed in the substrate

you might get away with doing all that, but it is such a brittle plant it won't stay long

break at the slightest touch the pieces will float around and grow, might as well let it float.

If your wanting a plant with similar structure check out NAJAs guadalupensis. It is planted in the substrate or allowed to suspend it will send down roots to anchor itself
