Hi all, I have two oscars at home that i think have been mating.

They have been kissing and swimming in circles around each other...

One is white with red and the other is black with red.

Could you please help me find out what they are up to?

Thanks

whats the size of them? how long you have been keeping them?
It can be mating as well as fighting.
If they are going to pair off, they will stop lip locking and biting each other soon and start swimming with each other peacefully and digging and cleaning an area. but if you see they are seriously hurting, you probably have to separate them using a divider.

look at their breeding tube position and say what you see exactly? maybe we find out about their sex.
an small and narrow and pointed tube like first pic? or a round and wide tube like second one? or a visible depression there like third pic? or nothing at all?
