Here they are:

Do they look healthy to you? They eat now, but are usually to slow to realize the spectrum food sinking and they miss it, but happily eat frozen food.

Ed, not sure but I think rainbows are top feeders. They ate bugs, flies, etc, that landed on the surface.

They look real nice! Once they catch on to the way you feed they won't have trouble getting food, they are not slow!!!

Are these the ones that you bought just recently? Hard to tell from the pictures, but not looking bad, in fact they're looking cute! Give them some time...maybe try not so much frozen food, and see if they'll take to the other food that you are feeding them.

OMG!!! he is so tiny..still a little baby!! No wonder they had such a hard time being shipped.....

He looks good.. the colors won't start showing more til he is older... he will color up a lot more than now and obviously grow a lot larger LOL

Do you have any pics of the female?

With the feeding they learn sooner or later that the food is at the top... all my apisto's now swim up to the top to get their fair share. I love the last pic with the eyeballing of the bloodworm - Awwwwwww

They are so young !! I have looked 5 times now and I see males on all 3 pics... could you make a better pic of the one in the third pic? I can't see the finnage properly...

But I am missing a yellow coloring (which could be stress or age) and black stripes on the front fins for a female.

Here are pics of the fish in the third pic. He's kinda shy, but he chases the other one away. He gasps alot. Is this bad?

Phew... I was getting worried there but I can see some traits that are female on it from those two extra pics.. although she reallly is not on color at all...a bit of pampering and loving should get her in the right direction.

What temp have you got the tank at? Are they otherwise quite active? Are they feeding well?

Thanks. I think he temp is around 78 to 80 but am not sure because i am too lazy to get up. They are somehwat active, they just kinda explore. The concern I have is their eating. Food falls right in front of their face and they dont care. Sometimes they eat and sometimes they dont. But they always eat frozen food

Did you get these from ApistoDave? If yes then he only feeds them BBS. I would suggest getting some frozen BBS and feed, that should get them going.

Wow he looks really good. Can't wait for him to color up and get bigger.

Yeah, they were from apistodave. Would regular brine shrimp substitute? Becase that is what I have been feeding

The male isnt is active as I think he should be. He doesnt display his full fins, and he gasps a litle bit sometimes. The female is active and has erect fins and stuff. Is there something wrong? He eats and chases the female.

Regular Brine Shrimp would not be good, no nutritional value. BBS is best.

Incredulous_Ed

glad I knoe that now! lol. Would it be better to feed BBS or Spectrum Grow?

Spyder

Both! Also add frozen Daphnia, Cyclop-ezz & Mysis Shrimp. If you can get your hands on decapsulated brine shrimp eggs, it has the highest nutritional value out there. I get it from http://www.kensfish.com/

Nice Apistos Ed! Stick with the Spectrum,it is supposed to have it all.

Remember, these fish came from Dave Soures and were never fed anything but BBS. Bring them off that slowly or they may starve.

Yeah that is probably a good idea

I kept those fish before and they are going to be beautiful when they get older! You're very lucky.
