I was thinking about getting some inverts (probably shrimp) for my 20gal long. It has 6 lemon tetras and 2 young apistos. What would work well, and if the apistos breed, will it bother them?
how about a clam? I know absolutely nothing about them, but I think they are cool.

I'd say apple snails but wonder if the apistos will get aggressive towards it????? wrong forum lol.....

How about cherry or bumble bee shrimp...... They are small and eat up algae..... The apisto would protect the eggs so I'm sure the shrimp wouldn't bother... My worry I guess is if the apisto attack the shrimp.......

i wouldnt go with a clam, they need dirty water to filter feed in. i would get cherry shrimp, algenco has lots of them

if you have a lot of places for them to hide you might do cherries, the apisto's would definitely eat some. I have some in a tank full of adult angels and they can't seem to catch them all.

you have to have alot of debris in the tank, like loose food particles. those particles could lead to dirty water conditions affecting the fish

What about those large bamboo shrimp?
so basically you have to overfeed and underfilter to have clams?
