I have a community dwarf 10 gal, (at the time being only three fish: powder blue, honey, opaline). The gourami aren't aggresive toward eachother and they all eat well on a varied diet, and the water quality is fine.

Although my honey's color is starting to fade a little, I have had this guy for two months. I have heard that many dwarfs come from wholesalers, and that the stock is dilluted which causes weak strains/shipments. Could this by why the color is fading out? The source of these fish are from APET, and the fish we get from them are quality. Could this by why the color is fading out?

poor nutrition or water quality is likely to be the fading reason. Have you tried a higher quality pellet like Hikari or NLS...... These are very nutrient rich and provide amazing coloration.....

Right now I feed Hikari Micro Pellets and some spirulina brine shrimp and Im getting awesome colors from my powder and fire. But as soon as my NLS comes in I bet it might be even better.
