awesome tank!

i bought one of those feeder comets at wal-mart for 29 cents, and got him to 12" and i bought him at 1". he got too big for my tank so i gave him to a LFS, and they sold him for $40 to a guy with a pond

Here's a head shot of the comet, along with a butterfly koi that has since gone onto pond life.

dang, that thing is a beast! Mine is only about 4 inches, but he was only 1 inch or so when I got him a year and a half ago. At least I have something to shoot for!

and on a side note, isnt that 55 gallon a little small for him at 11 inches, only being 12 inches from front to back?

Probably, but we can't put in a pond, it's the biggest tank I have, and his owner, the girl whose had him since she was eight, won't let us get rid of him.

And it's better than the 15 gallon tank he was in when I came into the picture.

The corys are still in there, somewhere. The Koi was mine, I wasn't alal that attached, and it was growing way too fast, so he went to a pond down in Phoenix.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/huhwhat/aquariums.jpgO ooo oooo ooo!!! O.o I saw you on petfish! They kept telling you that you needed to put it in a pond... Personally I think he's fine in that tank! I have about 7 of those...I hope they don't get that big!!!
