They need trace amounts of iodine to manage molting, outdoor, not just calcium. Don't know if you're talking about marine or freshwater crabs, but there's usually enough of everything they need to molt in the water. Synthetic marine salts have the proper ratio, as does your tap water, if the crabs are freshwater species.

most of the calcium he'll absorb will be from the molted exoskeleton.... He will munch on that...... theres calci-sand and sea biscuits too that are high in calcium.......

thanks thats should be all i needed
