Some of you may remember that for the longest time I was having all kinds of strange health issues in my tank, even though my water was great and there were no obvious infections/parasites/etc. Thankfully, that all seems to have calmed down now, for the most part. I lost quite a few fish, but I think everyone that was going to die...well...has.
One of the things I noticed several months ago was that one of my lemon tetras had a split in its tail fin, right in the middle. At the time I was going out of town and my quarantine tank was already full, so I couldn't think of anything to do but wait it out and see what happened.
2 months later, the fish is still doing just fine, but the split is still there. The fish swims and eats normally, and it hasn't gotten any kind of a secondary infection. Should I be worried? My quarantine tank is still occupied by babies, so I can't put it somewhere else for treatment, but my thought is that if nothing has happened in 2 months, it's probably fine? What do you think?
