Demi,
They reach five inches. They are best kept in groups of six or more, as a pair or a single one will get quite aggressive; with tankmates and with each other.

5 inches? Holy Moly! Lol, I thought they only got 3"! Crud, well thats too big for the tank stocking list I'm interested in, isn't it? Darn it! I really like them =P

Would ANY fit into this tank with the stocking list?

great list demi, the key hole is a great addition, i have 2 in my 4ft, they dont get big either maybe 2 inches or maybe 3 but not big at all and are a non agressive cichlid, your list is similar to my 4ft and i can tell you go for it check out my 4ft in my sig, LOL

Thanks mitcore, I'm going to ring up the LFS tomorrow to see if they want my 2 Fork_Tailed catfish. They look so healthy and cool-looking that I'm pretty sure they might want them =) Then I'll have credit hopefully to spend - YAY!

After many days of thinking my kuhli, Freddie had been eaten by the catfish, I was soooooo suprised today when I was woken by my dad saying he'ed seen him <3 I fed the fish and whatcha know, Freddie came out from his little cave in the wood and swam up and down the side of the aquarium! I can't wait to get my little guy some friends :D

My opaline is around 2", I haven't seen any that reach 5 though...

yeah they'll get 4-5 inches in a big tank like a 55 or bigger.......

I have heard that they reach between 5-6". I think that my blue gourami is a type of opaline gourami. He is about 2 1/2" and I have had him for almost 2 years. Currently my oldest fish!
