I need Help!!

I have a fake coral reef in my tank and one of my not so smart zebra danios decided to try and swim through one of the holes and got stuck 1/2 way through due to his slightly plump size. I managed to get him free but where he was stuck from all of his efforts at escaping the trap he has cut himself almost down the to bone. I have issolated him since he was just laying on the bottom of my tank. Most of the time he just sits on the bottom but he does swim occasionally. Is there anything I shoould/could do the help him or should I just put him out of his missery because he is doomed?

Hard to say without seeing him but if you want to asve him I would keep the water clean and add salt to prevent infections.

there are also some medicines you could add to the water that helps prevent diseases, but I don't know if a zebra danio is worth buying the somewhat expensive medicines unless you really love the fish. ( I know hard to put a price on life but sometimes you have to be cynical)

we would need more infor on him and your tank, if we are to help you . a very good medicine is Melafix. other good medicine is Pimafix.
