Got this at the store. It had little to no roots at the time of planting and within 2 weeks has grown a LOT. Planning on just cutting the top off and planting that when it gets a little taller.

Some of the roots are coming out of the plant kinda high up(ie not coming out the bottom only under the substrate)

Well whatever it is i'd highly recommend this to beginners. I'll take a picture of it just 2 weeks of growing. It's already grown as much as most of my other plants.

I'm guessing if i pinch off the leading tip it will sprout out the the axillary buds right? It's been a few years since i took plant bio but it looks like one of those plants.

LoL Algenco, beat me to this one. Soon as I saw the photo, I was on my way to scroll down to reply, but there you were lol.
Oh, and you can cut off branches on the upper plant, but use razor sharp scissors to do so, and don't go overboard, 'vette.

overboard in cutting too much or with the plant?

I'd only cut it if it got too high that it would touch the top.
I might try to make a more bushy part right next to it to cover up the bottom area.

I had these plants for about 4 months. The grew well and produce lots of new growth for me.However,as the leaves became mature they started showing small pinholes as they got a little bigger still they detached. It was a very dirty plant for me and I never could figure out or get a good answer for why, good luck with them.
