my lungfish

hey guys, this is my lungfish. he is about a year old, i've had him since last march and he has grown from 8" to 21". he eats like a pig but he's soo cute.

yes, he's going to be going back into a larger tank. he's in a 50g right now, he was in an 80g, which broke. we are saving up for a 200g for this summer or an indoor pond

Please try to expedite the larger tank. That large of a fish truly needs more space. Living in a closet is not cool.

i know he needs a bigger tank. he had one. he broke it. i tried to put him into a pond but he didnt' like it in there, so i gave him back his old tank. i had to give away most of my loaches, actually.

i also want to say, incase anyone is wondering, that i do 60-80% water changes on him every 3 days, and he eats about 6 shrimp, 4 algea wafers and a handful of pellets everday to eat.

i made a post in your introduction that asked for a picture of your lungfish. this guy is great. i do agree with GM, but it seems like you know that already.

yeah, i keep checking in my local classifieds (almost everyday) for a large used tank. i missed one yesterday by like 10 minutes. brand new the tank and stand he needs is 700, and i'm gonna diy him a filter. and that's without the canopy and everything. but in the meantime i'm gonna keep checking the classifieds because i see them pop up at amazing prices sometimes.
