german red crossbreed???

Hi about 9 months ago i had my german red cichlids breed. There was a male a female and a male peacock cichlid aswell. The female hanged around the peacock a lot and then bread. She bread in my quarantine tank. Thing was, the babies look a lot like the male german red. Could this breeding be a cross breed between the female german red and the peacock? Just wondering. I just woke up wondering about that.:c10:

African Cichlid peacocks ( the German Ruby Red being 1) will interbreed in a heart beat. That's why I never have more than 1 type of peacock in a tank at a time unless it's an all male tank.

The German ruby red is a man made cross breed peacock to start out with
