so last night my friend came over and i briefly turned on my fish tank lights to show him my tank and i made a startling discovery.
my glowlight danios had whiskers.
3 of the 4 of them had four long whiskers. i looked at them dumbfounded and thought to myself why have i not noticed this before.
so this morning when i went to feed them i looked at them very closely again and no whiskers.
does anyone know anything about this?

alcohol at times may impair vision and cause mysterious whisker disappearance. Maybe it was just a reflection. Are you sure they had whiskers...

Almost all the Cypranids have whiskers (Think like carp), though many are so short and clear they are hard to see. Most of the barbs do, some of the danios also. If you look closely at Cherry Barbs you'll see a small pair. The whiskers sprout from the edges of their mouths, just like Carp.

this was before i stared drinking, i swear.
they definitely had them last night and they weren't short they were probably half a cm long! and they weren't clear, they were white.
now there are none, or maybe they are clear and i am just not seeing them.
is it possible they become more pronounced at night for some reason?
i will turn on my light tonight and try and get a picture.
