how old should i put platy fry in main tank

how old should my 12 little platy fry,be able to be transferred into my

tanks and when will i start seeing sighns of gender so i can seperate
them.they are about a week old now

they are big enough to survive in the main tank as soon as their big enough not to fit in your biggest fishies mouth.

Genders appear around 3- 4 months

If it's only platies in the main tank, they should be fine after 3-4 weeks. Just feed them high protein foods and they'll grow faster.

You should be able to sex them as of about 3 months.
