Oscar food change? I probably already know the answer but here it goes.

Right now I feed my 2 Oscars Hikari bio-gold (pellets), Krill, bloodworms, freeze dried shrimp, and lettuce peas cucumber.

This is a good mix with of course the staple being the pellets at atleast 70% of the fish diet. The question is really how good is NLS Cichlid wafers. The Hikari Bio-Gold is awesome but I have heard nothing but good things about NLS. Anyone can chime in.

There is an article in my blog about NLS. Read it and that will give you a start. You can also check out their site, they have A LOT of information on it.

There are not NLS cichlid wafers, but an assortment of pellets for all fish.

Wafers usually refers to flat disks like Hikari Algae Wafers. Pellets usually refers to the spherical ones, which would be what you get for cichlids.

Yeah I know. The fish store owner uses wafes to feed the big south americans, he says they dont spit as much out. Hard to believe with Oscars... Just trying to see what everyone else thinks though. Good feedback fishguy2727

Many fish will eat the algae wafers, even lots of carnivores. Pacus are highly herbivorous and love them. Most community fish will nibble at them.
