Molly fry last night!

So about 2-3 weeks ago, a pineapple swordtail gave me about 20 fry, which have all survived and are growing up nicely. Today I was watching the tank for a while, and i thought that the swordtail fry had changed color, from all pale, to half pale/half dark. I quickly noticed that the orange sailfin molly pair must have already been long since pregnant, and had dropped off around 25 youngin's sometime during the night!

The molly fry are already the same size as the 2-3 week old swordtail fry. Does anyone have any estimates of growing speed for either of them? I would like to pay close attention to the molly fry, as the pair I bought cost just under 13$, and I could make some decent store credit at the LFS.

Congrats on the fry. Sorry no help on the rate of growth, no experience with these fish.

Mollies are usually bigger than swordtails so tht the cause of the size difference. The growing speed it hard to tell because it depends on the water changes feeding... etc
