I have an Oscar female (aparently) and some kind of Missouri River fish.
I believe it to be a Croppy. They share a 55 gallon tank. We noticed the Oscar acting up 2 days ago, She was cleaning her nest we now know.
My question is i guess. How is this possible?? My tank water is very warm, I noticed the oscar is more active in warmer water, so that answers some of my questions . But can the two different fish make little fishies? I believe besides warmmer water they have to be compatible with the mate, and this is not an easy task, so what's going on.
The Oscar is taking care of the eggs. So should I expect anything.
I feel kinda stupid asking, It seems so odd. But I know nothing about fish.
