How big would u suggest my baby convicts should be when i take them to the LFS"S. and gelrally how much would i get in stroe credit for say 10?

for 10 i would guess maybe $10-$15 credit. they should be big enough to accept pellets and they should be off fry food

Depends entirely on supply and demand. Locally, convicts are essentially worthless, best used as feeders. The lfs's will take them off your hands but won't offer any credit. They're simply too common and breed too quickly/prolifically. Nobody wants or needs several dozen convicts, and they produce several hundred fry each spawn...
No clue what the deal is in Oz, they may be considered a tradeable commodity, good luck.

Here in Aus, for a mature pair + about 100 fri, I got a mature yet to breed pair of bristlenoses, another time for about 100 fri I got a dozen peacock fri, so don't get your hopes to high, depends on demand in your area.

Know way to tell for sure, all varies in from area to area like crack mentioned.
You can sell them when they readily accept adult food.
