the big als store here sells NLS even cheaper than regular fish food, most containers of NLS are $5-$9. i picked up some of it a while ago and all of my fish look awesome! especially the oscar and severum. the GT has far more better coloring too now because of it

i usually only go to big als for fish and some rocks, driftwood, etc. but they have like a 20 yard long shelf of food, and they had tons of NLS. big als is HUGE, they have like 20 different tank backgrounds.

I must concur! I bought some about a week ago and I already see my Bolivian Rams coloring up nicely!

I use NLS and my fish don't really have any different coloring. Hmmmm..
Well, good luck with yours.

I use NLS in the different formulas as the main diet for all of my tanks. I was sold on it when I first bought 3 Neolamprologus leleupi (Yellow) and I was amazed in the colour change in them after about 6 weeks when I first bought some. At first I thought it was the lighting was different in my tank than the lfs. I bought 1 more and brought it home. There was a huge diference in the brightness between them. With in a month the new leleupi was just as bright.
I do mix spirulina into the feeding schedule as well as krill, mysis and real prawns or shrimp as a treat for those fish that can handle it in their diets.

I've given up on my firemouths eating it. I gave it to them for two weeks. My blood parrots love it so I have plenty of food for them for awhile.

All of the NLS forumals are basically the same, except for size.

Just pay attention to pellet size and whether it floats or sinks. At 5" I would have it on the Jumbo Fish Formula. It is 4.5mm and floating.
