i brought a catfish about 3 years ago,and the catfish was very tiny and im suprised it survied,in the aquatic shop where i got it from the owner said it just came in from a delivery and even the shop owner was unsure of what it was because it was so small,so i took my chances and brought it,i saw recently in a fish magazine this catfish,my catfish!!! at last a name for it,giraffe catfish, even though ive had the fish for 3 years and it has grown its about 4-5 inches long now,i would still like to know more about it,the origins of where they come from etc,i also would like to add if you do see one of these they are good community fish shy and like to hide, ive had no problems and it enjoys catfish pellets and bloodworm, some help would be grateful if someone could tell me more about this fish it seems there not very common but i could be wrong,thumbs2: thanks

I am pretty sure you must have the dwarf version of the giraffe going by the size of it:
Dwarf Giraffe Catfish - Anaspidoglanis macrostoma

They are beautiful and indeed not very common... I hardly ever come across them either... I reckon a little looksie on google with the latin name above will bring up lot's of good info xxx
