Does anyone have any pics of their diy backgrounds they can share? I am looking for ideas for my 10g tank.

This is what is what I have on my 30g tank. I got it from the video store. They were just going to throw it out. Yeah it's not even close to nature, but the kids like it.

On my 125G I used vinyl tile squares from the DIY. They come in all types of colors, rock, marble etc.... Place them on the outside and just tape them to the lip of the tank. Gives you a natural look without taking up space. Sorry don't have a picture of that one.

This is just an empty tank I have but I just siliconed stone to the back. When I had the same stone in the bottom it looked better but I want to put plants in it so switched it over to the black stuff. Smaller gravel would have worked better. Not too hot looking but just an idea. And the water spots give it a nice touch, don't you think? :)

I don't have a pic handy, but for the 38 gallon coldwater tank I just took a piece of cardboard, spray painted it metallic blue, and taped it to the back. Looks black in photos but gives a nice effect in person.

I love the idea about vinyl tiles, great great idea. I think I just might try that one!

Some stuff sure gives off different colors in a flash. I had a deep, deep blue sheet I put on the back of the tank. It looked black. Take a picture and it looked light blue. (My most unfavorite color.) Put black posterboard on the back of the tank and that looked blue, too.

I always go to a office supply store and get color paper then tape it to the back of my tanks. Very cheap and easy to replace.thumbs2:
