I would lower the water level, do the water change with water slightly cooler than that in there now. Try to simulate a rain, that often triggers a spawn.

Spraybar attachment on the filter output is best, but simply lowering the water level to create a splashing effect may also work.

Dave...? Jess...? :D

Just be patient, and look very carefully if the female looks slimmer, meaning they've already laid eggs. The male bumping her side is encouraging her to spawn. She can still display the breeding tube for a few days after spawning. Look for wee tiny clear amber eggs. They are very, very little, smaller than the head of a pin. The parents will eat some, but not all.
Remember, watch the female's girth. If she slims up, they've done the deed.

sorry guys lol didnt tel you how it went. unsucessful. disappointing the female's looked perfect but the male's colour was off probably the stress of the 5g and being separated. So they went bak to ther home ( 15g ) by the next day the male his colour bak ( bright greens and black ) and they're doing the usual again shimmying and dancing by each others side lol.

turn the lights down low, some barry manilow, rose pedals, and candles. Try to flush the tank with a colder water changes like previously stated...... also make sure you have breeding spots for them......
