Rainbow Fish

okay... for starters... these "rainbow fish" are blue... so i dont get the name, but whatever.

Anyways the little rainbow fish "Terri" keeps picking on the big rainbow fish "steve" and I was wondering if I should be concerned. Is she just stressed to be somewhere new or is she evil? The guy at the LFS said they were friendly but she's a ******.

She has made a couple passes at the rasbora and the goldfish... any advice or input. I'm considering bringing her back tomorrow if she doesn't get over this attitude.

i just had this problem, how many rainbows do you have?
i only had two and one was bullying the other and i ended up having to take them back.
they are schooling fish so you need about six-eight for them to be happy. if you only have two like i did they will kill each other and prey on your tank mates.

You could, but it'd be unhappy because in nature a lone rainbowfish is a dead one, and they get a little nuts being alone, and often respond by picking on tank mates.

well they are sitting in isolation until after my daugthers naps. than its back to the LFS with those two. Wish those people there knew what they were talking about more often :/
