I want to set up a 125 Gallon Plant/fish aquarium. I plan on using Co2. I am also planning on a reverse flow undergravel filter. Since aquatic plants can take up Co2 both through the roots and leaves I was thinking of injecting the Co2 through the undergravel filter. This would give more of a chance for the plants to take up the Co2 and longer for the Co2 to disolve. Is this a normal practice or would this kill beneficial bacteria in the tank?
