Hi first of all I would like to welcome myself to the forums.

I have two bolivian rams, 1 male & 1 female. I have kept them in my community tank for the the last 6 weeks. I purchased them as a breeding pair. Within the community tank however, they have never showed much interest in each other.

I have now moved them to a smaller 2ft tank. No other fish are in this tank and I have provided them with a ornament castle and a couple of artificial plants. However since moving them to this tank, they constantly hide in a corner and look very scared.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Proubly because all of a sudden they found themselves in a new tank and are saying to each other:

What the heck!?? What is this place???

They will come out over time

Some fish are a bit shyer when there are no other fish around to tell them that it is safe to come out. wait and see. If it doesn't improve you might have to consider redecorating the tank. (I assume the water is good)

yes the water is good. The water came from my other established tank. Would putting in a couple of other fish in for a few days help?
