can you tell the difference between male and female ghost shrimp without them being pregnant? do they get saddles too?

I know that with my Ghost shrimp the females are larger than the males, most twice the size of the males. And when they are ready the saddle looks green on mine. HTH :)

one of the the larger ghosties has little eggs now!, but only a few.

You can tell the difference between a male and female ghost shrimp, but it's invisible...

I'm not sure, bur I have two ghost shrimp, and one has pinchers and the other hasn't !The one that hasn't had eggs,but not anymore, and I don't see any babys...
