pH 6.5 to 7.0, 82 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit, gH between 4 and 6 ppm, kH the same. PH 6.8, low 80's, and soft is optimal.
They prefer planted aquaria with driftwood and stones. Calm tankmates a necessity, schools of tetras and Corydoras catfish preferred. Large or aggressive tankmates, like the common 'sharks' or busy fish, like pictus cats, should be avoided, as they will stress the rams and a stressed ram is a dead ram. With just tetras and cories with them in a planted tank, the Rams will live well.

I totally agree with Dave! Rams are beautiful mitcore! Are you getting a new tank? When are you gonna get 'em?
