Sevs in a 125

Hi there. I just got a 125 cycled and ready for fish. I have some gouramis (2 moonlight and 2 gold) and about 9 rasboras. Can I add 4 sevs or should I only add 2? Will there be issues with them fighting? I also plan on a black ghost knife.... Thanks for your thoughts.

Four would be ok but I'd try to get more females than males.


Edited to add: Don't forget you will probably have babies so you might want only a pair so you won't get too crowded.

I would get 2 males or 2 females, if they spawn then all your other fish are going to be beat up on. Severums are a cichlid yet very peaceful, good choice!!

Cool, thanks for the responses. I have a guy at the LFS that will order what I want, so I think I will try the 4 (1 male and 3 females). If I get babies I can sell /trade/ give them away on the local aquatic society board or the LFS. I plan on doing that with my baby kribs.....

Thing is they get "aggressive" like all fish when they spawn and may end up hurting or killing the other fish in the tank.

4 is Okay for your 125gal. Be sure you will be able t omove some if they breed
