VERY pretty Lady Hobbs. I love the way it seems to be perfectly tailored to show off the school of fish in the front yet make them feel comfortable with plenty of hiding places!!! The layering is wonderfully done and I like the subtle touch of plants and green in the log. How long did it take you to plan it? It seems like there was a lot of thought that went into making sure that the visuals were correct. I had a difficult time trying to plan things out because plants do grow!!! Also are you using sand?

Below is my first planted tank. There is no substitute. (agh, can't delete the thumbnail.. didn't want to seem like I'm hijacking and just wanted to let people know that planted tanks are awesome!)

Go Lady!!!!

Hate to say I told you so, Hobbsy, about patience and not fiddling, but I told you so :)

Pretty tank, of course . . .

Looks good, Lady, very good indeed. What lighting and what are those plants?

130 watt compact lights on a 55 gallon. Not startling but good enough for the plants I have altho the ludwigia probably would like more. Crypts, swords, annubis, ludwigia and 3 kinds of vals. Contoration vals at the back, spirals in front and pgymy in the very front.

Thanks everyone. No way do I plan! I haven't even room to put my driftwood in the tank. This was for the firemouths but they tore everything up too much so the tetra's went in it instead.

Beautiful planted tank, but the school of black skirt catch my focus away from the plants.

I love the plants! i hope my tank will look like that someday! You use CO2 rights? If so, what kind?

Lady Hobbs

I'm using CO2 but I doubt it puts out enough to do much of anything. I'd like to just use Excel and scrap the CO2 but the story is that it kills vals so that's out.
