It seems that my two gold fish are hanging out together insted of doing their own thing, and rubing on eachother alot.

Is there any chance of babbies being that one is an oranda and one is a comet?

how do you sex goldfish?

Seeing as they are the same species, Carassius auratus, as are all goldfish, no matter what their man-made variety is, they can breed together. Its difficult to sex them given the odd body shapes without venting.

It would actually be interisting if they breed to see what trates are domminant and what not, but Im geessing it would be more comet like...

and I thought that my orange comet was loosing scles, but he apear to be turning white, is it odd for them to change colors more than once in their lives? he was grey when I got him, and now he is orange.

Yes, and it depends on its diet. If you give them vegetative foods containing carotin, his colors will intensify. Goldfish do need greens in their diet; at least 50 percent of it.

If I can get my camera to work i'll try to get one of my male commons to pose so you can see the breeding tubercles, which are the white spots. They kind of look like fish pimples that will be on the gill plates and maybe the front fins. As they are both the same fish they can breed, the offspring might be kind of weird :hmm3grin2orange:. Most goldfish fry that you get won't be very good and many will have to be culled. To tell the sex of a goldfish can be difficult. The older and bigger the fish the easier it is, but try reading this link or just search for something on google and it might help you.
