I bought the driftwood the plant is attached to mainly, but Now I am wanting to know what kind of plant it is. I had assumed it was some kind of Fern. but if you look in the second pic the leaves are attached to a stem/runner. I was wondering if any of you could tell me what it is. It has the brown roots also like all my other java fern, but the leaves are much longer and only grow out one at a time from the stem.

there are many different types of java fern. for example:
microsorium pteropus 'tropica'
microsorium pteropus 'narrow'
microsorium pteropus 'windelov'
microsorium pteropus 'red' etc....

all these have distinct features from one another

Thanks so much guys. I was hoping it was a java fern variety of some sort. (I was leaning towards that ) Was worried I brought home a plant that would not thrive, because I wanted the driftwood. All my other ferns and java moss are doing well. This is good info to know. I have learned something today.
