I can't believe these fish that will hold like that for a month without eating. Talk about dedication to their young.

Since this photo was taken she released between 30-35 fry. I placed another holding female in the tank and she released 10-12 fry. I have another female of this type holding in the 90 gal. I have tried to get decent pics of the fry but because I do not have a background on the tank they are hard to get a good pic of. But here is the best I can do for now.

Oh my. You have got to enter that last pic in POTM next month! Awesome!
Yes, I can see those little guys tearing around in the tank. LOL They must be very happy to have more room than mama's mouth for swimming.

What do you do with all your fry? Sell them?

I have a few buyers lined up for some of the fry and a local mom & pop fish shop will take them for store credit which is great.

As far as the pic of the male, It is a pic my buddy took of his male, so it is not my pic. The pic of this male and how they look when fully mature is the reason I got some these Chilumba's. When I got mine in Aug 07 they were about an inch long. I lucked out and happened to end up with 1 male and 3 females. My male has about another 6-8 monthe before he developed that great yellow throat.
