This food has now laid in the bottom of the tank for 3 days and my fish have had nothing. I'm not talking about 4 fish here but 18. Not even the loaches will eat it. They won't eat this and they won't eat the community pellets, either, which looks EXACTLY the same as the cichlid pellets! You look at them side by side and they are identical.
Rather looks to me as one product packaged under two different things.
Just my luck, I guess. But now I have to go vac the tank. pewie

How long since you fed their old food? Many fish refuse it until they get hungry enough. Many times you just have to not feed for a week or so until they ge thungry, then they will take whatever is offered.
NLS is pretty much the same across the board. Some have garlic while others don't. Some such as the Grow have higher levels of fat. But in general they are all the same (this was one of my biggest problems with it the first time I tried it). This is why it is only important to pay attention to the size of the pellet and whether it floats or sinks.

Just wait until they are hungry enough to eat it when you offer it to them. It may not taste as good to them as the food tehy are eating now, but it is much more nutritionally complete.

Will they give it a try at all or do they just ignore it? When I first tried it (I have the small fish formula), the tetras would try it and then spit it out - big mess. I've found if I let it soak for 5 minutes or so first and feed in small batches, they'll eat it.
I do feel like they liked their old flake and crisps better, tho. I've been feeding them this for a month or so, and the couple of times I didn't have time to soak and reverted to their old food, they seemed much more excited. I also liked that the danios used to rush to the top of the tank at feedings. Now everyone just hangs out at the bottom in a line like they're waiting for the race to start.

Im with everyone else here too, just wait it out, they'll get hungry enough to start eating. I did that with my angels when I switched them over, and now they cant get enough of NLS! They love that stuff and so do I hehe.

I'm still trying it with them. The blood parrots are eating it. In the firemouth tank I have silver dollars and loaches and they don't so they still get flakes but I have to feed the cichlids first because they still dive for the flake stuff.
Strange...I wonder if the company ever did 'taste tests' with their formulations???

Most fish are happy to eat it. Once they are on it they go crazy for it. The biggest issue is that many fish simply do not like change.
