What are the specs of your tank (gallons, etc.)? How long do you keep your lights on and what type of lights do you use? Is your tank next to a window? Does it get direct sunlight?

A little algae is to be expected in any tank, its normal and not unheatlthy at all.Get something that eats it.

You can also soak the ship in very hot water (but not boiling), and add alot of aquarium salt, and let it sit for the whole day. I find this works for me with "man-made" decorations.

Good luck :)

You can also soak the ship in a mild bleach solution, rinse very well and then soak for a bit in dechlorinated water.

I agree with Hobbs. I typically use a a bleach solution to clean the skeletons in my Piranha tank. Just be sure to rise all the bleach off very very thoroughly

couldnt you just remove the sails? Though I'm sure they look awesome.
I hope the soaking and other solutions work

Depending on what else is in the tank, you could always get a few oto's and see of they help

I also agree with hobbs, I also soak my decorations in a bleach bath to remove excess alage. It works great and the most important thing is to remember to rinse really in dechlorinated water.
