I have 30 gallon tank that has been established for quite a while. I have 2 weather loaches (4 inches long) and about a week ago one became very pale almost white and began swimming very eratically(small circles while on a 45 degree angle) It seems thinner and lethargic. I recently treated for fin rot; could this be related?

I have three dojo loaches and I have one really gold one, one dark one and one that is almost white. They swim eratically anyway and are alot of fun to watch. They often sleep with their tails straight up in the air and I have one who rests on his back, they can be hard to diagonse problems, but are very hardy fish, my sister-in-law had one that she left in a malawi tank thinking that they would be safe because they are so fast, however the malawi picked the poor thing to death. She took him out thinking he was dead, but he wasn't didn't have a fin left on him, she put in a hosiptal tank and about a month he is back to himself. I hope yours will be alright.

The biggest cause of color loss is poor water quality.

What are your Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate readings?

Do the wather loaches have a loss of appitie and are they getting thinner as in loosing weight?

Agreed with Drum above. Check all of your water parameters immediately. I'll bet something is wrong with the water.

Maybe your weather loaches are feeling under the weather :ezpi_wink1:
