I have a 40 gallon tank with 4 red blood parrot in it now. I am thinking about getting a gourami to mix with the parrot fish, but worrying about if they can get alone peacefully?

hold off on any more fish until you get a bigger tank. parrots get up to about 8" and are very bulky (ie: huge bioload for the length). for 4 they should be getting at least a 75.

I'm not sure how a gourami would fit in to that tank even if it was bigger. Which species are you thinking about?

no gouramis dude there dumn for starters and cannot defend them selves against any cichlid better b safe than yup sorry
