I was thinking about buying a few plants from a web site that I have not decided on yet. Has anyone had a successful purchased and can recommend a certain site? Should I just not try to buy plants from a web site?

I here that http://www.aquariumplants.com/ is good.
I've used http://www.aquariumgarden.com/index.php and the plants were great.

www.aquabid.com can have some good stuff too.

The only site I would stay away from is AQmagic.com. Its an ebay store mostly. I ordered a CO2 Diffuser from there over a month ago. It shipped on December 5th, 2007 and today it is Januray 10th 2008 and I have YET to receive it. Good thing it isn't any plants... or shrimp

I also ordered from the ebay person named AquaticMagic on ebay and had a hard time getting them to send stuff and after arriving 2 weeks the first time and 4 weeks the second time i just asked for my money back.

The others listed are good. Ordered from Aquariumplants.com and they were very good. High shipping but just order a bunch.

How long does the shipping take?? Im thinking of going with Aquariumplants.com . Was it worth it in your opinion when you ordered from them?

I have yet to order online, but aquariumgarden is one of the best sites to research what you want. In some ways it makes them a good site to give money too... just my random thought.

Check out aqua bid. Most of the sellers there only charge $5 for shipping. Of course it's a big plus if you can get several plants from the same guy so they all arrive at the same time.

Since it's winter too some of the bigger sites charge extra for overnight so the cold doesn't destroy the plants. Usually shipping is around $10-$15 so as long as you get 3+ plants it pays off basically.

Don't order from the ebay site. I'm thinking that person lives in malasya and shipped stuff from there via local mail or something. I'm sure plenty have had good experiences with that person but it's just not worth the risk.

I noticed a few places charge overnight shipping even in the summer months. Anything live from them is shipped that way. It's silly for plants (unless it's winter) because they ship very well in 3 days. I get a lot of stuff from this guy on Ebay and always get nice plants. mikeswetpets (http://myworld.ebay.com/mikeswetpets)http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/s.gif I do have to say that this week I had a couple frozen because he was gone and had help in his store that didn't wrap well enough and I live in MICHIGAN.

His feedback rating is 100%. The order I just got from him was a $58 order and the shipping was less than $7. He's in NY.

He's generally adding more stuff the first of the week and ships the first of the week.

Thanks for all the suggestions I am probably going to try http://www.aquariumgarden.com/index.php for my first purchase because they have a great selection.

Any online plant order sites in Canada?

aquarium plants DO ship within Canada, but do you know of any others?

The local shops in my area have a really bad selection...
