Hi Everyone.Just joined yesterday. I have decided to complete building my tank thats has been laying around unfinished for some time now. I intend keeping Malawi cichlids. Its about a 6-700 liter tank , but not sure on whether to go with a sump filter or canister filters

Howdy, and welcome to AC, Riaad. Go with canisters, as the wet-dry sump filters do great at eliminating ammonia and nitite, but the bacteria are so good at that, the waste product, nitrate, can become a real problem in your tank.

In the menu on the left is a calculator, if you put your tank dimensions in there it will tell you the capacity, you are best of referring to US gallons on here, as most members know that measure better.
