Hey all. One of my young pregnant guppies has been acting really odd today. I'm pretty sure she's close to 'popping'.
Shes been hanging round the bottom of the tank, and seems to be struggling to swim. She tends to just go with the flow of water, then occasionally she'll go where she wants.
I also just found her in the 'caves' in my driftwood. The driftwood I have is upright and has bits of the inside naturally hollowed out into small caverns. The only fish I have ever seen go into these caverns are my 3 kuhlie loaches and one of my 3 hillstream/borneo loaches.
I've never had guppies before, let alone pregnant ones. Is she just looking for somewhere 'safe' to give birth, or is she ill?
She has no signs of fin rot, velvet, white spot or ick, and appears to sit at the bottom not scratching herself.
Any ideas?
