Best Diet?

I am really just a beginner on the whole fish subject but I have come to discover that diet is an extremely impotant factor in fishkeeping. At the moment the fish are on flake or granule 'complete' food with occasional blodworms or brineshrimp.

So...what I want to know is what should I be feeding my fish and what effect certain components of such a diet will have on my fish?

Also - what food is best for colour and growth?

The best food is New life spectrum foods. You should feed them exclusively.

thanks. Is there any supplements I could feed my fish to promote growth in the meantime, (before I get me some of that food!)

With NLS you really don't need anything else. I must say that I switched my fancy guppy tank from OSI Freshwater flake to NLS and the coloration is radically improved. I use NLS in most of my tanks and definitively there is less waste as well.
