i know that most people don't agree with hybrids, but i was wondering if there is any such resentment towards breeding different colors of swordtails, are all xiphosphurous hellerii the same just different colors?

yes diffrent strains of colors in the fish

All common color types are the same species but there are a number of other species for sale in the trade.

hey there dumb question.....can a female swordtail that turned into a male can it reproduce?? i have 5 female swordtails and 1 male and the sshe/male swordtail too. but the swords are different colors. i have 2 black females and 1 yellow female and 2 orange females. and the yellow male. the she/male is light orange. so thats all 7 of them. can the different color ones still have babbies??

Different colors, and even different species, can interbreed without issue.
