Would like to introduce you guys to our Betta. We've actually had him for a couple of weeks now, but I hadn't gotten around to taking any pictures of him. These two shots were just done really quickly so they aren't anything special. I'll probably take the time to get some better ones tomorrow or so. Oh, we have no idea what to name him, usually something comes to me, but not in this case. So, if anyone has any good names for him, please share.
He's a Petco rescue. We didn't go in looking for anything special, like fin type or anything, he was just the most active and really seemed interested in us, so we brought him home. He is quite a bit more active that I actually expected and loves attention. Anytime my wife or I are around he watches us intently and loves to interact. He doesn't seem to pay any attention to the mirror trick, which I've tried twice with him now, but he flares his gills at me after a water change. Probably mad that I messed up his bubble nest, which he builds all the time.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics, and if you have any ideas for a name, let me know.

nice betta i had one just the same
if he is building a buble nest why not get him a girl that is blue in colour
He has very nice colors..I love the white tips on his ventrals.
Since hes making a bubble nest it seems that he has settled in well.

He's a very nice looking betta. I love that blue color with the red accents. Hmmmm, a name? How about Bubbles since he's such a happy nest builder...not very masculine though.

That's a beautiful shade of blue. Mine's sort of a darker blueish purple color.
I never really name my fish because i can't remember which ones I named what. Except for my betta which I named violet. I'm thinking of a name for my puffers too but nothing has come to mind.

Heh, nice fish Ty, I hope his tail grows back. Is he a tailbiter or something? I must admit, naming this fish has been a tough one for me. Generally with pets, something comes up and makes itself obvious as a good name, but not in this case. Thanks for the ideas so far folks, hopefully something will come up, or his name will just stay "Mr. Fishy" forever I guess.
