Very nice drift wood. But is it safe to take something from the beach? Wouldn't it harm the fish in some way or did you boil the wood before putting it in your tank?

Nice drift wood! As soon as the snow melts here I am going to go looking for some drift wood or maybe even some bogwood in the swamps around here...

Since the wood was in the ocean for who knows how long, the only thing would be boiling to leach out the salt. Its doubtful any tannins remain as the wood was scoured by sand and waves for at the very least months. It could have been years.

looks nice! Did you add moss to the top of the first one? and I like how the second one curves around the plant a bit.

Very nice.
I wish I lived close to a beach. The closest beach near me are the Great Lakes Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. And those are so polluted that you aren't supposed to swim in them because of risk of cancer! So I usually stay out... Nice driftwood though
