I was just reading in plant geeks that Florish excel will melt vals and should not be used with vals in the tank.

I wonder if this could also hold true then with crypts but it was not mentioned.

I have some jungle vals in my planted tank and I dose excel. No melting here. Maybe only at a higher-than-recommended dosage?

Could very well be or spraying them directly? Thought it worth a mention.

Yes, definitely worth a mention, totally agreed.

I wonder if anyone here has had experience with this?

***Special note*** This plant seems to be sensitive to Flourish Excel, to the point it "melts" completely off if given enough.

This is their side note on vals.

Huh, interesting and good to know.

I have to move my vals because they are getting far too long, coiling around the top of the tank now.

my jungle vals were unharmed, but it wiped out the pygmy val
