Should i feed my Bristlenose those algea disks or not?
can they survive without them?

They need food just like other fish. If there is not a large enough supply of algae in the tank to support them, then more needs to be added.

i would also feed them vegetables like peas, lettuce, etc. they need more in their diet than algae alone

Ive got a bristlenose and I feed him algae peletsbut when I try some vegetables he doesnt seem interested. Is there a special way to feed vege's?

If I feed mine peas I use the frozen kind and let them thaw out and take the shell off them and just drop them in. Mine loves zuchini so when i do that I just blanch it for about 30 second let it cool and spear it with a fork for weight and set it in the bottom of the tank. I usually don't feed them till lights out tho so the other fish leave them alone. And they also get algae wafers and spirulina tablets.

Mine just get New Life Spectrum pellets and they are doiing very well on it. They also like to have a lot of driftwood. They eat it and is a very natural shelter for them.

Every day, harls. I remove the uneaten (there's rarely any) within 24 hours.

Takes them a while to realize its food, fanatic. Just keep putting it in the same place every time. Eventually he'll catch on its tasty.

i feed mine algae pellets only on per bristle nose and they love it and spend the rest of the time on the glass

I usually throw in a slice of cucumber or some blanched peas that my pleco loves. Just mix up what you feed it a couple days a week and it should like it.
