Pond plants?

I was so happy to find this forum as I'm about to set up a 10gal fresh water aquarium at my house for the grandkids.
I happen to have some pond plants that I will be removing from my outdoor pond soon and wonder if I can safely transfer any of these to my indoor aquarium.

I figured I would need to trim them down some as some are quite large but several are on the smaller side and would look really good in my new aquarium.

I'm taking the slow approach and will fill my aquarium later today and then let it sit for a couple of weeks b/4 adding any fish.

I'd appreciate knowing if any have had experiece with this.

Depends on what plants you got in your pod. Some species might have problems surviving in the higher temperature in a tropical aquarium.
