Color schemes...?

Hi guys,

I just thought up this new thing maybe you could add color schemes and the member who is viewing this forum could change how this site looks TO THEM (through cookies) by chaging the color of the site (eg blue, red, green) so that maybe more users would register and find this site attractive... :hmm3grin2orange: Thanks and pls. respond with what you think of my idea.............Matt23

It's an ok idea and they have that on several forums I am on but I don't mind this color scheme at all, it makes it look like a fish website. I wouldn't mind more but it's not something I must have or anything.

People don't join forums because of its color. However I agree that members should have the ability to change the color if they please.

Programing a new layout would take a large chunk of time. With all of the system upgrades and forum additions William is making, that would just be more and more things added to his already large list of things to do.


I quite like the serene blue layout. AC wouldn't be the same without it.

Colors are a very superficial reason to try and justify so much work, IMO. Its not myspace.

I like this color. Its kind of calming the lite blues and white as opposed to some of the other fish sites that are cyan and pink.

Megan, you weren't rude. Seriously if someone is going to avoid a site because of the freaking color then they have some very serious issues and probably don't belong on the internet much less on AC!

it's not a bad idea, seeing the same colors does tend to get boring after a while

Yes, but it is a lot of work to change the colors, let alone run a forum!

It would be possible to run several layouts but I agree with what has been said that it requires a lot of work for little benefit. There are a lot of other things I think have higher priority.
