Weather Loach in a 29 gallon tank

Help guys! I have been reading on Loaches Online that weather loaches get too large for a 29 gallon tank. Right now my little guy is 3 inches. How much larger will he get? He seems perfectly happy in my 10 gallon where he is staying until the 29 gallon is set up. (Hubby won't finish remodeling the room it is going into :evil: ) Please tell me he will be ok in there. I was hoping to get another one when the new tank is set up. Let me know what you think.

He will be fine! my friend has one whos permanant home is a 10 gallon.

Thank you!! I was really worried about that. He is the life of the tank and I can't imagine not having him or more in the new one. If I ever get to set it up!!
